Sunday, March 27, 6:30 am. Easter Sunrise Observance and Breakfast at the Frey’s. The sun will rise at 7:09vam. We need to be seated and waiting at 6:30 am as the sun begins to send its rays at least 30 minutes before it crests the horizon. Dr. Rudolf Steiner gave us a beautiful Easter imagination for greeting the sun on Easter morning. We should envision Lucifer coming to us in the early rays of the sun. When the sun crests we can imagine the Christ coming to us behind Lucifer with outstretched arms. When we hear the voices of songbirds being raised to the sun we should imagine that they reach the realm of the Cherubim, for indeed they do. We should allow our souls to rise with the songbird’s voice, and imagine the Cherubim turning to acknowledge both the songbird and our listening souls.
We will have chairs and lap blankets. You’re advised to dress warmly. Please turn to the right after you park your car and follow the lights to our waiting spot.
After the sunrise, we will share a gospel reading, song, and shared contemplation before adjourning to a lovely breakfast provided by the Frey family. All are welcome.
