Thresholds in Our Lives

To contemplate the destinies of human beings with reverence and awe,
that is something that our times demand of us.” Rudolf Steiner
What doorways have opened for you? Where did they lead? How were you changed?
Thresholds are part of the vocabulary of Anthroposophy, yet we pass through many during our pilgrimage on earth without noticing them, celebrating them, or honoring that which came and that which was left behind. What doorways have opened for you? Where did they lead? How were you changed? Who opened doors for you and helped you along the way? Have you found one door firmly closed, only to discover you held the key to another? What threshold do you stand before today?
In this workshop, we will explore the stories of our lives from the perspective of doorways. Using natural materials, pastels, writing and conversation, we will seek to reveal the processes of destiny. We will work with biography as a way to seek the “I” not only in the impulses that come from within outwards, but also in what has come into our lives from without.
